The Camcorder is dead. Long Live the Camcorder

In fact, based on sales figures, the UltraHD camcorder is either holding its ground rather better than industry analysts predicted… or at Holdan we’re lucky to be sitting on the very model that hits the sweet spot.

Panasonic’s AG-CX350 model packs more technology than anything else in our portfolio. It comprehensively out-specs considerably more expensive camcorders.

Its 20x optical zoom range can take you from the equivalent of a 24mm wide angle full frame to 480mm telephoto, which will pretty much cover you from broom-cupboard to the moon. If shooting HD on a UHD camcorder this 20x zoom can become up to a 32x zoom, without losing resolution, by using an izoom or intelligent zoom feature which scales the high-resolution sensor.  The new generation of camcorders have other advantages too.  Built in video streaming to Youtube live and Facebook, Ethernet and WIFI connectivity, and even NDI HX can be added, as well as long lasting batteries, (because the smaller sensors require less power to run), and reliable autofocus.
